You can tell I haven’t finished a book or an otome game route in a while because I’m going to this is what I’m going for today instead of a review. Oh gosh, I need to finish something soon lol
Anyway, let’s get to some fictional characters I love in no particular order❤
- Sabetha Belacoros from The Gentleman Bastard Sequence
Sabetha is the ‘born queen of all the charmers that ever lived’; she is a fantastic con artist, and a great thief. She is as talented, if not more so at times, than her fellow con artists with less recognition as none of her cons are as flashy as Locke’s. I’d been waiting for her entrance in The Republic of Thieves and, damn, she was worth it. Favourite character forever and always.
- Kanzaki Nao from Liar Game
Nao begins as honest to a fault. She is constantly taken advantage of, and repeatedly getting fooled. In the Japanese drama adaptation of the series, she begins and ends the same way, believing that it’s fine to be as honest as she is. In the manga, however, she grows to realise that she hadn’t been taking the time to really know people, and that there are times where lying may be necessary. She still remains the same kindhearted Kanzaki Nao, and still wants to save anyone and everyone, but she knows herself and others better now.
- Kate Harker from The Monsters of Verity
I loved Kate in this duology. She is headstrong, competent, and takes no one’s crap. She sticks to her goals and tries to make them happen, but knows when to adjust her plans and take a different route. She may not be friendly at times, but she’s there to get stuff done.
- Jax from Broken Skies
She may have a lot of growing to do when it comes to her relationships with other women (girl hate abounds in this one), but she’s a reckless, hot-headed girl ready to take on the world to save her brother.
- Kurashita Tsukimi from Princess Jellyfish
Tsukimi is lovely, and the series is worth reading even just for her. She’s very kindhearted, and has a huge obsession with jellyfish. She is such a fun character to read about, and none of her interactions with other characters are boring. Also, no girl hate~
Maybe I should throw a guy in here?
- Dick Grayson from a hell of a lot of Batman comics
Dude’s pretty. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
